The Dahua H5D-5F is a 5+5MP indoor Wi-Fi dual-lens pan & tilt camera designed for users who want higher-resolution detail alongside full-room awareness. It combines a fixed lens with a separate pan & tilt lens, allowing coordinated monitoring that keeps a constant wide view while enabling close-up inspection on demand.
Coverage is a defining strength of the Dahua H5D-5F. The fixed lens maintains continuous oversight of the room, while the PT lens rotates through 0° to 349° pan and -5° to 90° tilt, delivering a complete 360° view with no blind spots. Tapping anywhere on the close-up view within the app instantly triggers the PT lens to rotate to that exact location, giving users direct control over what they want to examine more closely.
Both lenses share a 1/3″ CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 2880 x 1620, noticeably sharper than the standard 3MP models in the Hero series, and encoded through H.265 compression for efficient bandwidth use. Illumination performance is strong across both lenses, with the PT lens reaching up to 50 meters in IR mode and 40 meters using warm light, ensuring clear footage in low-light indoor conditions.
Smart detection adds meaningful security value. AI-based human and pet detection helps minimize false alerts, while the camera can trigger immediate alerts using both sound and light to actively deter intruders — going beyond simple push notifications. Built-in abnormal sound detection adds another layer of awareness for unusual activity at home.
Connectivity is built for speed and stability. The Dahua H5D-5F supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) across both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, delivering high throughput with strong resistance to interference, particularly useful in homes with many connected devices. Setup is simplified through Bluetooth pairing, allowing a fast connection without complicated configuration steps.
Two-way communication is supported through a built-in mic and speaker, and the one-click proactive call feature lets users start a conversation instantly, useful for greeting visitors or checking in on family members remotely. A dedicated privacy mode is also available for moments when full monitoring isn’t needed.
Storage is handled locally through a microSD card supporting up to 256GB, with full management through the DMSS app on iOS and Android.
