The DHI-NVR5464-EI is a 64-channel, 1.5U network video recorder from Dahua’s WizSense series, purpose-built for large-scale camera deployments that need serious channel capacity without moving into a full rack chassis. This recorder supports IP camera resolutions up to 32 MP and delivers a maximum decoding capability of 32 channels at 1080p@30fps, or 32 channels at 2MP@30fps. Bandwidth is rated at 384 Mbps for incoming, recording, and outgoing streams, scaling down to 200 Mbps when AI functions are active.
On the AI side, the DHI-NVR5464-EI handles 2-channel face detection and recognition, 4-channel perimeter protection, and 8-channel SMD Plus filtering onboard, supporting up to 20 face databases with 20,000 images. AcuPick smart search is available across up to 16 channels, combining recorder and camera-side detection for faster footage retrieval. Paired with compatible Dahua cameras, it also extends into ANPR, video metadata, stereo analysis, heat mapping, and people counting.
A key strength of this model is its dual video output configuration, with two independent HDMI and two VGA ports supporting heterogeneous and simultaneous display setups, along with multi-screen layouts reaching up to 64 channels on the main display. This makes it particularly well suited for large-scale control rooms monitoring extensive camera networks.
Storage is handled through four SATA bays, each supporting up to 16 TB, plus an eSATA port for external expansion and N+M clustering support. The recorder also supports multiple network binding modes including load balancing and fault tolerance for improved reliability.
