MB460 Plus is an innovative multi-biometrics time attendance terminal from ZKTeco, featuring advanced fingerprint and face recognition technologies with support for access control. It supports multiple verification methods, including facial recognition, fingerprint and card verification, passwords, and combinations between them, alongside essential access control functions.

Facial recognition on the MB460 Plus takes less than 0.35 seconds, with fingerprint recognition completing in under 0.5 seconds — a genuine speed improvement over the standard MB460, streamlining attendance management and keeping check-in lines moving quickly. Touchless biometric recognition works from a distance of 30cm to 80cm, giving users a genuinely hands-free verification experience.

The MB460 Plus supports 2,000 users (1:N), 1,500 face templates, 2,000 fingerprint templates, and an optional 2,000 card capacity, with a transaction capacity of 100,000 events. Accuracy is strong across both biometric methods: facial recognition carries a false acceptance rate of ≤0.001% and a false rejection rate of ≤1%, while fingerprint recognition delivers an even tighter false acceptance rate of ≤0.0001% and false rejection rate of ≤0.01%.

Biometric performance is powered by ZKFace V7.0 and ZKFinger V10.0 as standard, with an optional upgrade to ZKFace V12.0 for enhanced facial recognition accuracy — though upgrading reduces face template capacity from 1,500 to 900 and resets the device’s data, so administrators should choose the algorithm carefully during initial setup.

A standout feature of the MB460 Plus is its genuinely flexible connectivity: alongside TCP/IP, USB-Host, and built-in Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11 b/g/n), the device supports optional 4G mobile connectivity spanning LTE FDD, LTE TDD, UMTS, and GSM bands. This makes the MB460 Plus a strong fit for remote sites, construction locations, or temporary installations where wired network access isn’t practical.

The 2.8-inch TFT color screen (240×320) delivers an intuitive graphical UI, backed by a dual-core 1GHz CPU, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, a 1MP binocular camera, an 8-ohm 1W speaker, and a 16-key physical keypad running on a Linux operating system.

Standard functions include SMS, DST (Daylight Saving Time), Scheduled Bell, Self-Service Query, Automatic Status Switch, Photo ID, Multiple Verification Methods, 12V Output, Photo Capture, Event Photo Capture, 14-digit User ID, and T9 keyboard input. Optional functions extend to Work Code, ADMS, HTTPS, external bell and printer support, Self-Service TA Reporting (SSR), and a 2,600mAh lithium backup battery offering up to 4 hours of operating time and 6 hours of standby, with a 2.5-hour recharge time.

The MB460 Plus includes an interface for electric lock, exit button, and alarm connection, letting it double as a standalone access control device. At 200.24 x 148.00 x 33.00mm and 0.87kg net weight, it’s designed for wall mount installation, running on a DC 12V, 1.5A power supply across a 0°C to 45°C operating range.
