The Dahua P3AS-PV is a 3MP outdoor fixed-focal Wi-Fi pan & tilt camera built for households that need full-yard coverage backed by rugged, weatherproof construction. With an IP66 rating and an operating range of -30°C to +55°C, this camera is designed to perform reliably through harsh outdoor conditions year-round.
Coverage is central to the Dahua P3AS-PV’s design. Pan rotation reaches up to 345°, tilt goes from 0° to 90°, and the camera body itself can rotate up to 345°, giving a single unit the ability to scan an entire outdoor area without leaving blind spots. Combined with automatic target tracking, the camera actively follows movement across the yard, driveway, or entryway.
Image quality is handled through a 1/2.8″ CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1296, supported by dual IR and warm-light illuminators that extend visibility up to 30 meters in both modes. Minimum illumination reaches as low as 0.01 lux in color mode, ensuring the camera captures usable footage even in near-darkness.
Smart detection adds real deterrent value outdoors. AI-based human and vehicle detection helps the camera distinguish real threats from routine motion, reducing false alerts triggered by passing animals or shifting shadows. When an intruder is detected, the Dahua P3AS-PV triggers immediate alerts using both sound and a stronger red-and-blue light display, actively working to deter unwanted visitors rather than simply recording them.
Connectivity is built for speed and stability outdoors. The camera supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) across both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, delivering strong throughput with solid resistance to interference — useful for larger properties where signal strength can be inconsistent. Setup is simplified through Bluetooth pairing, avoiding complicated manual configuration.
Two-way communication is supported through a built-in mic and speaker, letting users speak directly to visitors or deter intruders remotely. The camera also supports ONVIF (Profile S, G, T) and CGI for broader system compatibility, along with management through Smart PSS Lite, DSS, and the DMSS mobile app on iOS and Android.
