The SenseFace 4A is a hybrid biometric access control terminal from ZKTeco, combining visible-light facial authentication with in-glass fingerprint technology and built-in SIP video intercom support. At its core, the SenseFace 4A supports four authentication methods: fingerprint, face, card, and password via virtual keypad. Face template capacity reaches 6,000 users, fingerprint capacity reaches 8,000, and card capacity supports up to 8,000 users, with a transaction log capacity of 200,000 records. Verification speed stays fast, completing facial authentication in under 0.35 seconds and fingerprint verification in under 0.5 seconds.
Security is reinforced through ZKTeco’s advanced anti-spoofing algorithm, which is built to resist fake photos, videos, and other presentation attacks during facial authentication. False acceptance and rejection rates stay extremely low, with FAR at 0.01% or better for facial recognition and FRR at 0.02% or better, giving administrators confidence in both security and day-to-day reliability.
The SenseFace 4A’s touchless recognition range spans 30cm to 200cm, allowing hands-free entry at typical walking distances. Its 4.3-inch TFT color touchscreen and WDR binocular 1MP camera work together to maintain accurate recognition across varying lighting conditions, a common challenge for entrances facing direct sunlight or dim corridors.
What sets this model apart is its built-in HD video door phone function via SIP protocol (Version 2.0), letting it double as a video intercom compatible with ZKTeco’s SIP indoor monitors. The device also supports ONVIF integration, advanced access control functions including Wiegand input/output, RS485 communication, electric lock control, door sensor, and exit button wiring, plus optional wireless doorbell compatibility.
Built on a Linux operating system with a dual-core 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and 8GB ROM, the SenseFace 4A rates IP65 for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for semi-exposed entrances. User data synchronization between devices is supported via USB drive, simplifying multi-door deployments.
