The U6 Lite is a compact, ceiling-mounted WiFi 6 access point from Ubiquiti’s UniFi lineup, built for small offices, homes, and residential deployments that need reliable wireless coverage without enterprise-scale complexity. Its slim, low-profile design makes it an unobtrusive addition to any ceiling or wall installation.
At its core, the U6 Lite runs on 4 spatial streams with 2×2 MU-MIMO on the 5 GHz band and 2×2 SU-MIMO on 2.4 GHz. Maximum data rate reaches 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW80) and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (BW40), giving it solid throughput for everyday browsing, streaming, and video calls across a household or small business.
Coverage is well suited to smaller spaces, with the U6 Lite supporting up to 300+ concurrent client connections across a coverage area of 115 m² (1,250 ft²). Its 802.11ax chipset maintains backward compatibility with 802.11ac and 802.11n devices, ensuring older hardware connects without issues.
Despite its compact size, the U6 Lite carries the same enterprise-grade feature set found across the UniFi WiFi 6 lineup. It supports wireless meshing, band steering, 802.11r fast roaming, 802.11k radio resource management, and Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), along with a full captive portal suite covering custom branding, voucher authentication, payment-based access, and RADIUS-assigned VLANs for network segmentation.
Connectivity runs through a single Gigabit Ethernet uplink port with standard PoE power delivery, drawing a maximum of just 12W. The device weighs only 300g on its own, or 315g with the included mount, and its enclosure combines polycarbonate and aluminum with a polycarbonate and SGCC steel mount for everyday durability.
Built to operate from –30°C to 60°C with 5–95% non-condensing humidity tolerance, the U6 Lite handles a wide range of indoor environments. It’s managed through the UniFi Network application (version 6.0.45 or later) via Ethernet or Bluetooth, and is NDAA compliant with CE, FCC, and IC certifications.
