U7 Outdoor is an all-weather WiFi 7 access point built for large open areas that need serious coverage and weatherproof durability in one unit. With 4 spatial streams, an integrated directional super antenna, and versatile mounting options, this model is designed for courtyards, parking lots, warehouse yards, and campus environments where a single AP needs to cover significant ground.

The U7 Outdoor measures 170 x 208 x 54.5mm and mounts to a wall or pole using the included hardware, with a pole mount diameter range of 25–60mm to fit a wide variety of installation points. It covers an impressive 465 m² (5,000 sq ft) per unit — more than three times the coverage of UniFi’s compact indoor access points — and supports 250+ simultaneous client connections.

Performance carries over the full WiFi 7 speed advantage: the U7 Outdoor supports 2×2 MU-MIMO on both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, reaching a maximum data rate of 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz using 240 MHz channel bandwidth (BW240), and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. What sets this model apart is its antenna system — a directional internal antenna delivers 12.5 dBi gain across a focused 45° x 45° beamwidth on 5 GHz, letting the U7 Outdoor concentrate signal strength across a long, narrow area rather than spreading it in all directions. Two external omni antennas (4 dBi, 360° x 30°) are also supported via RP-SMA connectors for installations that need broader coverage instead.

To keep up with WiFi 7 throughput, the U7 Outdoor includes a 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 uplink port, and full backward compatibility covers 802.11ax, 802.11ac, and 802.11n client devices. The device carries forward UniFi’s complete feature set: wireless meshing, band steering, 802.11v BSS transition management, 802.11r fast roaming, 802.11k radio resource management, and Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0) support, along with a full captive hotspot portal, guest network isolation, PPSK support, WiFi schedules, and RADIUS over TLS (RadSec).

Built for genuinely harsh outdoor conditions, the U7 Outdoor carries IPX6 weatherproofing and a UV-stabilized polycarbonate and aluminum alloy enclosure rated to withstand wind loading of 74.6 N at 200 km/h (125 mph) — a meaningful consideration for rooftop or exposed pole installations. It operates across a wide -30°C to 60°C temperature range and is powered via PoE+, drawing a maximum of 19W with a supported voltage range of 42.5–57V DC. At 1.2kg, it’s built solid without being unwieldy to mount.
