AOV (Active Object Verification) mode enables 24/7 recording while consuming as little as 0.1W, and an ultra power-saving mode drops consumption even further to 0.02W. Performance mode draws just 1.22W for full live-view use. With a battery capacity of up to 36Wh and solar charging support, the camera is built to sustain long-term outdoor operation, including cold-weather charging down to -10°C — a meaningful advantage in colder climates where many solar cameras struggle.
Coverage is strong, with pan rotation up to 350° and tilt up to 90°, giving the Dahua BP3E a full 360° view of the monitored area without leaving blind spots. Two-way communication is supported through a built-in mic and speaker, letting users speak directly to visitors or deter unwanted activity remotely. Storage is handled locally through a microSD card supporting up to 512GB, with full access managed through the DMSS app on iOS and Android.
